The Spanish city of Calpe on the Costa Blanca is best known for its particularly high mountain Peñon de Ifach and a long coastal area with many golden sandy beaches and beautiful bays.

Calpe has two large and wide city beaches along both sides of the Ifach with a boulevard along it for a lovely stroll or to sit on a terrace. They received the blue flag for their environmental quality and excellent services.

Calpe has a Mediterranean climate which means that it is sunny almost all year round and there is little rain. This means that your stay in Calpe is pleasant at any time of the year. Because when the sun shines, it quickly becomes pleasantly warm, even in winter.

Sightseeing in Calpe
Most notable in Calpe is Peñon de Ifach or Natural Park of Penyon. This over 300 meters high nature park in the Mediterranean Sea can be seen along a large part of the entire Valencian coast. More than 300 animal species and many rare plants can be found there. Because there is a breeding ground for (protected) birds, you cannot walk there all year round.

Flamingos
You will find real flamingos in the lake Las Salines. If you love nature you should definitely visit here and be surprised.

Food & Drink
Calpe has an extensive range of restaurants and bars. From the well-known “chiringuitos” to luxury restaurants. At the foot of the Ifach you will find a special 'eating street' in the harbor.
The old city center is pleasant because of its narrow streets and alleys and all kinds of shops.
